Default i cannot complete finding gadd....

the quest its self is not hard, but whenever i go to talk to livia, my guild wars freezes and i cannot reconnect back to that session. i did this quest on my warrior no problem, but i recently upgraded to windows vista and now it freezes every time i talk to livia. i have tried it 5 times already and it froze every time. please post suggestions...

If it's a problem with Vista, too bad. They don't support Vista and so any problems you have relating to it are your problem.

Just to test out, try GW in DirectX 8 mode, to see if the culprit is Vista's DX10/9 build.

Usage: "C:\Program Files\Guild Wars\Gw.exe" -dx8

To be put in your shortcut of GW to try DX8

Doesn't Guild Wars use DirectX 9?

It does, but you can force it to use low-res textures to run it on dx8, if for example your graphic card is too old, or you have a notebook without hardware T&L settings or pixel shader 1.1.

yeah some have to use dx8 (my hubby included, cant seem to get gw and dx9 working on his)....so yeah try this out.

Could be hardware compatibility issues, many of us are running Vista with no problems. You can try forcing DX8, another suggestion is to use XP compatibility mode.
